Mitsuo "Mit" Lockrow, CFP®
Conventional wealth management services offered by large corporate firms never made complete sense to Mit. So, after nearly 20 years of working at global investment banking and broker-dealer firms, Mit's entrepreneurial drive and vision to build a better fiduciary wealth management paradigm led to the formation of Cambridge Wealth Management in 2014.
Before founding Cambridge Wealth Management, he spent over twelve years at UBS Wealth Management in their Boston and Wellesley, Massachusetts offices as a Vice President of Investments. Certified as a portfolio manager in the select UBS Portfolio Management Program, he was responsible for managing institutional and private client portfolios, as well as providing research, trading, and bond investment recommendations for small bank and trust companies. Prior to that, Mit was a financial consultant with Merrill Lynch in their Albany, New York and Cambridge, Massachusetts offices. While at Merrill, he attained their Certified Financial Manager designation and was a Winner's Circle, Executive's Club, and President's Club member. In 2000, he was selected for "Pathways to Excellence," Merrill Lynch's exclusive management development program. Mit started his career in the wealth management industry in 1995 as a financial advisor at Waddell and Reed.
Mit holds a B.A. from the University of Kansas with a concentration in Political Science and East Asian language and culture. After graduation, he continued his Asian studies at Nichibei Kaiwa Gakuin in Tokyo, Japan. A holder of the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation, Mit brings a high-level of investment and financial planning experience to his role as wealth strategist. His particular areas of expertise are retirement planning, investment management, and tax-minimization strategies.
